A question rather than an update: Forty-one degrees and a cool bag

Anyone else here in my part of the world? I would like to compare notes.

The forms and the sequence are what I am stuck on rather than anything clinical, and the sequence appears to be local knowledge.

I would rather hear one detailed account from my own system than five from elsewhere, if anybody local is reading.

I am some distance from anywhere and every arrangement I have made is shaped by that, and most of what is written assumes otherwise.

Any local detail gratefully received, however small. The small things are what nobody writes down.

My experience is that things that worked here were arranged locally and that national advice was often not applicable to my situation.

Reading Orrin, I recognised more of that than I expected to.

The travel between islands and the timing of collections is a real planning problem and I have built a fortnight of slack into everything.

Gently disagreeing with Orrin, or rather adding the other half of it.

Something practical: I keep everything in the coolest room of the house and I check it with a thermometer in January.

The bloods are done at a collection centre and sent on, which is efficient and took one conversation to set up.

What I got wrong was assuming a shortage was permanent. It resolved in about five months and I nearly stopped in month two.

I would say get on good terms with one pharmacy. Mine has looked after me through two supply problems and one house move.

What helped was building a buffer during the good periods, which meant the difficult stretch did not interrupt anything.
