France, my médecin traitant, and a long conversation Writing it down partly to work out what I actually think.

Anyone else here in my part of the world? I would like to compare notes.

Supply where I am has been unpredictable and I would like to know what other people locally have been told.

The forms and the sequence are what I am stuck on rather than anything clinical, and the sequence appears to be local knowledge.

Travel is the constraint here rather than cost, and I would like to hear how other people at a distance have arranged their reviews.

I will come back and update with actual timings, because published times and real times are not the same thing.

Something worth knowing: supply here has been steady, and when it was not, the pharmacy told me two weeks ahead.

Ondine said something I want to sit with for a second.

What I got wrong was assuming the reimbursement was automatic. It required an annual renewal that nobody had mentioned.

Building on what Minta wrote rather than answering the original question.

Something I got right was keeping every document. The reimbursement claim eighteen months later needed one from the first month.

Noticing the assumption in a couple of replies that everybody has a nearby pharmacy. Several members here do not.

Nothing here is medical advice and the rules genuinely differ by country, so please check locally rather than trusting a thread.

Coming back at two years to say the arrangement has held, that the annual renewal is now in my calendar, and that the care has been good.

Something worth knowing: my results are available to me online and reading them before the appointment changed how the appointments went.

Adding a name to the list of people this helped.

Facilitator note: reading a thread like this can stir something up of its own. Our support resources page sets out the kinds of service worth knowing about, whether or not you need one today.

What I underestimated was how much easier things got once I had a named contact at the clinic rather than a general number.
