Something I have been sitting with: Hirsutism, and what changed and did not Not looking for advice so much as other people's experience.

I have had this diagnosis for a long time and none of the general advice quite fits me.

What I cannot work out is which of the two stories a particular change belongs to, and I suspect nobody can tell me from the outside.

I have written out my results as a series rather than as single figures, because the trend is where my question actually lives.

Any experience from somebody with the same combination would be worth a great deal to me.

What I found is that my symptoms moved at different speeds. Some things changed in months and others have not changed at all in two years.

I would gently say that if you are trying to conceive, this needs to be a proper planned conversation rather than something worked out from threads.

My cycles came back after years of nothing and it was genuinely emotional and I had absolutely nobody to tell until this circle.

Coming back to what Saoirse wrote further up, because it is the bit I keep thinking about.

The hair side of things is its own subject and I found the general advice unhelpful because it did not account for the underlying picture at all.

I have been under a specialist throughout and I would say that made an enormous difference compared to being managed generally.

Mine improved and then plateaued and I had to learn to be pleased with where it had got to rather than disappointed it had stopped.

Somebody here pointed out that most of the general advice is written for people without this, and once I stopped trying to make it fit I did much better.

I want to slow this down. Several people here have the same diagnosis and quite different pictures, which is ordinary and is why the specifics change the answer.

I have found this circle more useful than any other resource, mostly because everybody here already knows the background and I do not have to explain it.
