Cost with no coverage at all — putting it in its own thread so it does not get lost in the check-in.

Anyone else here in my part of the world? I would like to compare notes.

Travel is the constraint here rather than cost, and I would like to hear how other people at a distance have arranged their reviews.

I am some distance from anywhere and every arrangement I have made is shaped by that, and most of what is written assumes otherwise.

I am the only person I know doing this within a considerable distance, so this circle is genuinely my whole peer group on it.

Thanks. Local experience especially welcome — I have plenty of advice from elsewhere and none of it applies.

Provincial coverage was the whole question for me and the answer turned out to be specific to my province rather than national.

My employer's plan changed at renewal and the coverage changed with it, and I found out at the pharmacy counter.

The appeal process on my plan existed and was not advertised, and asking about it directly is what got me to it.

Something practical: I have the plan's reference number and the pharmacy's direct line saved, because the general line takes forty minutes.

The supply has been reliable where I am, and my pharmacy has told me in advance the two times it was going to be tight.

Orval — yes, and the bit that took me longest to accept was the next part.

I would say ask what happens at renewal before you need to know, because mine required documentation I had to go and get.

The distances here mean an appointment is a half-day at minimum, and consolidating everything into fewer visits was the fix.
