From a vial and syringe to a pen Writing it down partly to work out what I actually think.

This is the boring administrative kind of problem, which I gather is the kind that actually gets solved.

What I cannot find anywhere is the criterion I am being assessed against, and I suspect that is the whole of my problem.

I would like to know whether it is worth appealing, and specifically what changed for the people whose appeals succeeded.

Any experience welcome, including the ones that did not work out. I would rather know what I am walking into.

What I found is that the devices were different enough that the practical routine had to be relearned, which nobody had mentioned.

The thing I would flag is that a number that looks the same may not mean the same thing, and checking that is the whole job.

My switch was for supply reasons rather than choice and it happened faster than I would have liked, which is where the risk of error sits.

What helped was doing the switch in a quiet week rather than around anything else, so that anything unexpected had room.

I felt like new again for about three weeks and then it settled, and I had not expected any adjustment period at all.

Something I got right was asking my pharmacist to talk me through the new one properly rather than reading the leaflet at home.

Coming back to what Xan wrote further up, because it is the bit I keep thinking about.

Coming back to say the switch went fine, that it took about six weeks to feel routine, and that the double-check is what made it safe.

Concentrations differ and that is exactly where people get caught. Nothing carried over from my previous arrangement, not a single number.

I would say to anybody about to switch: get the new instructions in writing and read them back to somebody.
