Which of these three things is doing what — putting it in its own thread so it does not get lost in the check-in.

Some background first, because it matters for the question.

My history means the standard advice is not safe for me to follow, and I would like to hear from people whose history looks like mine.

I would like to compare notes rather than be advised, because the advice I have had has all been written for a simpler version of my situation.

To put the figure in the title beside the rest of it: three things. That is the whole of the arithmetic and none of it is an estimate.

Not looking for interpretation of anything. Looking for what other people asked for and whether it helped.

What I did not anticipate was how much better I would feel once somebody simply acknowledged that three things at once is genuinely complicated.

Slowing down because a medication interaction has come up. That is a pharmacist question and a good one, and it is worth asking properly rather than here.

Coming back to say it settled. Eighteen months, several conversations, one very good appointment, and I now have a week that works.

Recognition rather than advice, if that is any use at all.

What helped was writing everything down and then reviewing it with somebody who knew about both, because separately neither clinician could see the pattern.

My sleep, my mood and my appetite all changed in the same six months and I attributed all of it to the wrong cause for a while.

I would say push for a proper conversation about the interaction rather than two separate consultations that never meet.

The hot flushes were unrelated in my case, as it turned out, and finding that out took a specialist appointment and a lot of patience.

The night sweats and the sleep disruption were the things that wore me down, and neither of them was the thing I had gone in about.

I found this circle because I could not find anybody talking about both at once, and it is still the only place I have found where people do.

Three things happening at once and no way to tell which was doing what. That was my whole first year and I know I am not alone in it.

Abram said something I want to sit with for a second.

Something I did not expect was how much the strength side mattered at this stage. Two sessions a week has done more for how I feel than anything else.

Building on what Fenella wrote rather than answering the original question.

My bone health conversation happened because I asked for it, not because it was offered, and I would encourage anybody here to ask.

What I found is that the general advice is written for a body ten years younger, and adapting it took a dietitian who understood the stage I am at.

Reading this at half past six with a cup of tea and nodding at every line.

I would say the strength work is the thing I would not give up. Everything else has been adjusted at some point; that has been constant.

Nothing here is medical advice, and this is a subject where the interactions really do need somebody qualified looking at the whole of you.

Adding a marker: the practical sentences about appointments are the ones I would want a newcomer to find, and they are almost never the ones at the top of a thread.

Gently disagreeing with Ada, or rather adding the other half of it.

My specialist was clear that the evidence on the combination is thinner than either subject separately, and I appreciated the honesty enormously.
