My dietitian and my prescriber disagreed, and what happened next Writing it down partly to work out what I actually think.

I have been sitting on this for a month.

I would like to hear from people who found this hard rather than from people who did not, which I know is an odd thing to ask for.

I am not in crisis and I do not want anybody worried. I am flat, and I have been flat for longer than I would like, and I am naming it here first.

I do not have a question exactly. I have a thing I have noticed about myself and no idea whether it is worth mentioning to anybody.

If you have felt anything like this, I would like to know. If you have not, that is worth knowing too.

Something I have learned here is that saying I am struggling does not require me to explain why. That has been a relief.

Nan has already said most of this and I want to add the one part that was different for me.

The support resources page is linked on every page of this site, and I have used it, and it was the right thing at the right moment.

Nan, thank you for that. It gives me somewhere to start from.

I would encourage anybody unsure to read the agreements first. They are clear, they are enforced, and they told me whether this was somewhere I could be.

I am pleased with the pace of this thread. Nobody has rushed to fix anything and that restraint is the skill this circle asks for.

Renata, thank you for that. It gives me somewhere to start from.

Recovery-aware does not mean fragile, and I appreciated that being said plainly on the front of this circle before I ever posted in it.

Reading this at half past six with a cup of tea and nodding at every line.

Nothing here is treatment and nothing here is advice. If you are in difficulty, the people who know your history are the ones to speak to, and our support resources page lists the kinds of service worth finding.

What I did not expect was how much it would help to be around people who simply do not discuss certain things. The silence is doing something.

Reading Brogan, I recognised more of that than I expected to.

I keep in regular contact with my team and I tell them what I am reading and where. That transparency has kept me safe more than once.

What I would say is that a support community is not treatment. This is company alongside the people who actually know my history.

Adding a name to the list of people this helped.

Facilitator note: the agreements for this circle are stricter than the sitewide ones and they are stricter on purpose. They are linked from the circle landing page.

My experience is that this circle moves slowly and carefully and that is exactly what I needed from it.
