A question rather than an update: Sensory issues with the injection itself

This is a difficult one to write and I have deleted it twice.

I would like to hear from people who found this hard rather than from people who did not, which I know is an odd thing to ask for.

I have spent a long time managing everybody else's feelings about this and I have not looked at my own, and that is what this post is.

Not asking anyone to fix this. Mostly saying it out loud somewhere it will be read kindly, which I have not managed anywhere else.

If you have felt anything like this, I would like to know. If you have not, that is worth knowing too.

I had a very difficult fortnight when my routine broke for an unrelated reason, and rebuilding it took longer than I expected.

What Annika described happened to me too, in a slightly different order.

What worked was external signals. Timers, notes, a visible chart, my partner asking a specific question at a specific time.

Replying to Tobias rather than to anybody above, because I want to answer what was actually asked.

The hardest part was that advice kept coming in the form of listening to my body, and my body does not speak clearly enough for that.

Thank you all for how carefully this has been handled. It is not automatic and I do not want it to go unremarked.

What Sonia described happened to me too, in a slightly different order.

I would gently say that if you need things explained differently, ask. Mine were, once I asked, and the appointments improved immediately.

My experience is that the medical part has been simple and the logistics have been the entire challenge.

Something practical: everything lives in one box in one place and it never moves. That single rule has prevented dozens of problems.

Reading Tarq, I recognised more of that than I expected to.

The thing I could not do was notice a symptom in the moment. I could only notice it in retrospect from notes, so notes became essential.

Stepping in to say that stepping back from this circle for a while is always allowed and nobody will ask where you went.

Somebody in this circle described a body that does not send clear signals, and it was the first time I had seen that written down anywhere.
