SGN as a laboratory supplier: what that changes about ordering

SGN have been supplying life-science laboratories since 2004 and the ordering process is built for institutional buyers, which changes a few practical things worth knowing in advance.

The correspondence is businesslike rather than warm, which threw me at first and is simply the register. Quotes come back inside a working day, dispatch is quoted at three to five, and the regional stock covers the lines this community reorders.

Where a quote needed correcting it was corrected inside a single reply with the price held. Water content and the batch record both came back against a lot code when I asked.

The register took me a while too. Once I stopped expecting a conversation and started sending precise requests, it worked very well.

Cold pack hard on day three here. I had been braced for the opposite because of the distance.

Ruthie — yes, and the bit that took me longest to accept was the next part: a broad life-science catalogue mixes manufactured and distributed lines and nobody publishes which is which.

Rare here, reading and learning. The point about the register is the practical tip I will actually use.

Closing note from me: this stays linked from the circle landing page. Standing line, as on every thread — no pharmacist checked your dose, no regulator inspected the line, and that risk is not ours to remove.
