Something I have been sitting with: I paused for a term and restarted after my loan came in Not looking for advice so much as other people's experience.

The logistics of this are defeating me more than the medicine is.

My household has adjusted to about half of this and the other half is causing small daily friction that I have not known how to raise.

I have a plan for the ordinary weeks and no plan at all for the unusual ones, and the unusual ones are where everything has gone wrong.

Thank you. This circle has solved four practical problems for me already and I am hoping for a fifth.

My storage question in a house with five people and one fridge got answered here in about twenty minutes, practically, by somebody in the same position.

What surprised me was how much support was available once I actually asked. I had spent a year assuming there was none.

Thank you for the honesty about how hard the logistics have been. The accounts that admit the planning is exhausting are the useful ones.

The bit in the middle is the bit I needed to read.

My experience is that this is doable on very little and that it requires more planning than anybody with money would need.

Bell A has already said most of this and I want to add the one part that was different for me.

Something I got right was keeping a small buffer, built up slowly, so that a delay or an unexpected cost did not stop everything.

Olly, thank you for that. It gives me somewhere to start from.

The travel to appointments was more of a barrier than the appointments. I moved to phone reviews and it solved it.

Eating well on very little was already my situation before any of this, and the appetite change actually made the money side easier.

Recognition rather than advice, if that is any use at all.

Building on what Nev wrote rather than answering the original question.

The bit nobody mentions is how much of this assumes you can take a phone call during working hours. I could not, for a year.

Saying it out loud helps other people say it too. Thank you.

My deadlines and my difficult weeks collided once and I had to be honest with a tutor, which was frightening and completely fine.

Speaking as a facilitator: nobody owes anybody at their own table an explanation, and this circle will keep saying so as often as it needs to.

I have found the check-ins here better than the circles for me, because two lines fit in a day that has no room in it.
