Cruise ships and cold storage Writing it down partly to work out what I actually think.

Anyone else navigating this? I feel as though every piece of advice I read was written for someone with a completely different week.

My household has adjusted to about half of this and the other half is causing small daily friction that I have not known how to raise.

The social side of this is harder for me than any of the logistics, and I have not found anywhere else where that is discussed practically.

This is the boring administrative kind of problem, which I gather is the kind that actually gets solved when you ask.

Thanks in advance. Practical detail welcome, however dull — the duller the better, honestly.

Time zones were the puzzle. I shifted mine gradually over the week before rather than trying to solve it on arrival.

I am pleased with this thread. Practical, kind, no instructions, no comparisons. That is the whole brief.

What I would say is get a letter from your prescriber. I have never needed it and I would not travel without it.

No advice, just company. Here if it helps.

Thirteen hours in the air and the whole thing came down to a cool bag and a printed letter, and both of those took ten minutes to arrange.

Nev said something I want to sit with for a second.

Coming back from a three-week trip to say it was entirely uneventful, which is the outcome I wanted to read about before I went.

I want to acknowledge how much unglamorous organising sits behind most of the accounts here. It is real work and it rarely gets named as work.

My rule now is that everything travels with me, nothing gets checked, and I have a spare of anything small enough to duplicate.
