A question rather than an update: Access exists here if you know where — what I know

Anyone else here in my part of the world? I would like to compare notes.

I would rather hear one detailed account from my own system than five from elsewhere, if anybody local is reading.

I am the only person I know doing this within a considerable distance, so this circle is genuinely my whole peer group on it.

The advice I have been given locally contradicts what I have read here, and I would like to know which is out of date.

I will come back and update with actual timings, because published times and real times are not the same thing.

What I would say is that finding one clinician who is genuinely familiar is worth more than any amount of reading.

Stepping in to say that four systems' worth of answers is four times as much reading as anybody needs. If one of them applies where you live, that is yours; the rest are interesting rather than useful.

I found a specialist who had seen this many times, which took eight months of asking, and it changed everything.

Something practical: the storage question is much harder in this climate and it has shaped every arrangement I have made.

Nothing to add except that I am glad this thread exists.

I travel for work constantly and the practicalities of that in this climate took me a year to solve properly.

Something worth knowing: the availability where I am has been steady, and I understand that varies enormously across the region.

Building on what Aiko wrote rather than answering the original question.

My reviews are three-monthly, which is more frequent than most accounts here, and I have found that reassuring rather than burdensome.

I want to acknowledge how isolating it is to be the only person doing this for eighty miles. Several members here are in exactly that position.

The travelling between countries for work raised questions I had to research properly rather than assume, and the rules differed each time.
