Ramadan, injection timing and my doctor's advice — putting it in its own thread so it does not get lost in the check-in.

Regional question, because I have read a great deal of advice that turns out to be true in one country only.

The advice I have been given locally contradicts what I have read here, and I would like to know which is out of date.

I have moved and everything that was arranged has had to be arranged again, and I would like to know what I have forgotten.

No rush. Everything here takes three weeks anyway.

The bloods are quick and cheap where I am, which has meant I have a much better record of myself than most accounts I read here.

What surprised me was how little regional discussion exists anywhere, which is why I started posting here in the first place.

Thank you all. Somebody arriving confused by advice written for a different country and leaving with an answer for their own is the whole job of this circle, and it only works because people say where they are.

Building on what Abel wrote rather than answering the original question.

I would say ask directly how much experience the clinician has with this, because the answer varied enormously among the four I saw.

Noor said something I want to sit with for a second.

What I would flag is that the advice online about storage assumes a temperate climate and it is not adequate for mine.

My experience of appointments here has been thorough and unhurried, which I gather is not universal.

My honest report is that the care has been excellent and expensive, and I have no route to make it less expensive.

This is the post I wish had existed when I was looking for it.

The cost here is entirely out of pocket and I plan for it annually, and this circle is where I first saw somebody do that honestly.

What Rohan described happened to me too, in a slightly different order.

Something I got right was building a relationship with one clinic rather than going wherever was convenient.

Petua said something I want to sit with for a second.

Something I underestimated was the humidity as a storage factor rather than just the temperature.

My clinic handles everything in one visit, which is efficient and means I prepare properly for each one.

I found that being very specific about my situation in this circle produced much better answers than asking general questions.

Thank you for saying which country you are in at the top of the post. It makes every reply below it more useful and most people forget.

What I got wrong was assuming the guidance I read applied to me. Almost none of the logistics did.
