Something I have been sitting with: Blood pressure medication that needed reducing Not looking for advice so much as other people's experience.

Practical question, and possibly a silly one.

My household has adjusted to about half of this and the other half is causing small daily friction that I have not known how to raise.

I would rather hear one person's actual arrangement in detail than five general suggestions, if anybody is willing to write theirs out.

Every piece of advice I read appears to have been written for somebody with a completely different week from mine, so I am asking people whose weeks look like this.

Thank you. This circle has solved four practical problems for me already and I am hoping for a fifth.

The pharmacist has been the most useful person in this whole business, and I would say that to anybody at my stage.

My balance and my grip are the two things I watch, and both have improved, and neither of them is on any form anybody gives me.

Adding a marker so it does not get lost: the most practical sentence in a thread like this is almost never the first one, and somebody arriving late will scroll straight past it.

I asked directly what the evidence looked like for people my age and got an honest answer about how thin it is, and I respected that.

Nothing useful, just that I have been exactly here.

Picking up Ren’s point rather than starting a new one.

My medication list is long and getting a proper review of all of it together was the most useful appointment of the last three years.

Olly has already said most of this and I want to add the one part that was different for me.

Strength work has mattered more to me at this stage than anything else, and everybody I have spoken to has said the same.

Bone health was my first question and I had to ask for it. It was not offered and it was entirely reasonable to want.

My experience is that this has been straightforward and that it needed more careful setting up than it would have at forty.

Coming back to what Niko wrote further up, because it is the bit I keep thinking about.

The falls conversation was worth having explicitly, and it produced a practical set of things I would not have thought of.

What helped most was a physiotherapist who gave me a specific programme rather than a general encouragement to be active.

Grateful you posted rather than kept it to yourself.

Coming back at two years to say it has been uneventful, that my mobility is better than it was, and that I am glad I asked rather than assuming I was too old.

Osman, thank you for that. It gives me somewhere to start from.

Being taken seriously was the first hurdle. I had two appointments where my age was treated as the whole of the answer.

Stepping in to say that asking for help with logistics is not a smaller kind of asking. It is most of what makes this sustainable.

Building on what Olly wrote rather than answering the original question.

I found this circle because everywhere else assumed I was thirty-five and had never had a hip replaced.
